Revisiting Early Human Diets
Do you ever consider how far we’ve diverted from the path of our pre-historic ancestors and they’re eating patterns? Think about how the earliest human beings progressed, and what they ate. They were hunter-gatherers and did not evolve with the characteristics of carnivores. Human beings aren’t made to tear animals apart and consume their flesh. When you look at meat-eating animals, such as wild felines, you can see their teeth are developed to tear and rip, not chew.
The Evolution of Human Eating Patterns
Even our digestion systems are not especially matched to consuming meat. Maybe earliest guy observed carnivores eating meat, and if they couldn’t find any of the natural foods they were utilized to consuming, such as veggies, grains, berries and nuts, then they might have presumed that eating meat would at least sustain life.
Unveiling the Vegetarian Origins
We naturally would have foraged for our food, consuming roots and nuts, berries and fruits. We would have watched the apes peeling bananas, or crushing nuts on stones to get at the meat of the nut.
Eating meat needs preparation and most notably, fire. Till man found fire, he was primarily vegetarian, living in what was the natural order of things. Vegetarian consuming is a more natural way of consuming, in addition to being much healthier.
Rethinking Meat Consumption: Natural Evolution or Convenience
Consider how the earliest humans evolved, and what they consumed. Even our digestive systems are not particularly matched to consuming meat. Perhaps earliest man observed carnivores eating meat, and if they could not find any of the natural foods they were utilized to eating, such as veggies, nuts, grains and berries, then they may have assumed that eating meat would at least sustain life.
