Active material is additional functionality in a file or program, such as macros, add-ins, or information connections. This short article lists types of active material that can be blocked by the settings in Trust Center and which, when present, will trigger the display of a message bar upon opening the document. When active material is obstructed, a Security Warning appears. If the file includes more than one kind of active material, it warns some active content has been disabled.
Use Trust Center to inspect files In Trust Center, you can configure the monitoring of your material for infections or other security hazards that can be delivered to your computer by active content. These checks prevent active content from running instantly and therefore assist to safeguard your computer system and network.
Open Trust Center in a Workplace program

In the ribbon click File, then click Alternatives.

Click Trust Center, and then click Trust Center Settings.
Kinds of active content To see and handle which types of active material are blocked, click Trust Center Settings which will open the Trust Center window.
